In a mining valley in eastern , three young people are looking to make a fortune to change their lives. Tonio, Jeff and Chico would like to organize rave parties. They find an ideal place, the disused factory of Céline's father, Tonio's ex-girlfriend. Tonio can't bring himself to ask anything of Celine because he is in love with Marie. They both dream of going away from this valley to start a family. However, Marie lives with her mother, Nonna, who spends her days listening to Slavic music.
