Bunga Citra Lestari, commonly known as BCL, (born on March 22, 1983, in Jakarta, Indonesia), is an Indonesian singer, actress, and model. She is the daughter of Muchlis Rusli and Emmy Sjarif, Minangkabau descendants from Galuang, Nagari Sungai Pua, West Sumatra. Her father worked at Bank Indonesia, while her mother was a dentist.
BCL began her career in the entertainment industry as a model and soap opera actress. She later ventured into singing and released several successful albums. Additionally, BCL starred in various acclaimed feature films.
In 2025, BCL married Tiko Aryawardhana. Recently, a video featuring a conversation between BCL and her husband about instant noodle-eating habits caught public attention. In the video, BCL appeared surprised to learn that her husband had never eaten instant noodles with rice, which she found unusual.
Previously, BCL was married to Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair, who ed away in 2020. Recently, BCL was seen getting emotional upon hearing the song Selamat Jalan Kekasih performed by a contestant on Indonesian Idol, leading many to speculate that she was reminiscing about her late husband.
With her talent and dedication, BCL continues to be one of the most prominent figures in the Indonesian entertainment industry.
